Something Calling on Pine Log

Something calling on pine log: When the long day of labor has ended. When my soul has been vexed with the calamity of the day. When my mind has grown weary from the bombardment of apprehension, doubt, and fear. When i am through with the necessary, yet exhausting, dance of the day. When I feel my strength leaving;only to be replaced with numbness and tiredness of the soul. Just in time I am aware ,through an unseen channel,of being called to that magical place of renewal and restoration that comes from a different place. This call is just as real as a mother's call to supper, and that place just as real as a baby's resting place on the bosom of it's mother. As one moved songwriter so poignantly wrote:"ambition will take you and ride you too far.conservatism(idleness) will bring you to boredom once more. Sit down by the river, watch the stream flow, recall all the dreams you once used to know. Things you've forgotten, took you away, the pasture's not greener, but meaner. Love of the simple is all that I need,I've no time for schisms nor lovers of greed. Go up to the mountain,go up to the glen. Where silence(reverence) will touch you and heartbreak will mend. "Just as the writer,so I,feel something" calling me this way again." Thankful for the calling and the place it takes me to,on pine log. David spoke of the "secret place of the most high God." We are blessed to have found that place.
