Magic on Pine Log

Magic on Pine Log:Forgetting and remembering. The word magic can have two meanings. The one I use today is "an extraordinary power or influence seemingly from a supernatural source".This is the magic I find on Pine Log.I will invoke an incredible statement made by a man to a group of people many years ago.His instruction was this, "forget those things that are behind you and reach forth to those things that are before us".The incredible thing about that statement was this. The man who made that statement had some profound things to forget. He had to forget the faces of men, women, and children as he had them hauled off too prison or worse, simply because of what they believed. That man of course was the apostle Paul. There was absolutely no way he could have done that without "an extraordinary power or influence seemingly from a supernatural source." Because of this spiritual magic or influence he didn't have to live his life in misery over his past mistakes. This is the magic I find on Pine Log.Of course it isn't in the geography of Pine Log;but rather the influence I encounter there. The things we have to put behind us may not be as traumatic as Paul's but can be just as crippling. There is absolutely no way for any of us to go back and change anything. Thanks to this wonderful "spiritual influence"we don't have to!They simply fade away and allow us to put into practice the second part of Paul's admonishment, which is, remembering to "Reach forth to those things before." This is the magic or influence I find on Pine Log.Your Pine Log can be anywhere you choose it to be.Wishing you "extraordinary power and influence from a supernatural source" from Pine Log.

Can this wound heal?

Can this wound heal on Pine Log? The silence and serenity was on Pine Log,was broken recently, when three large trees broke loose from the bank. They fell across the width of Pine Log,ripping away an extremely large section of the bank with them. The mass of land torn away was massive,to the point that it would eventually widen Pine Log significantly.I came upon it early in the day two or three weeks ago;so it must have happened at night, with no witnesses but nature, and the one who set nature in motion.Even though i know this is a common occurrence,I couldn't help but view the results as a type of wound to Pine Log,and walked away a little distressed.Thinking about the possibility of damming,I wondered if this would be too much for Pine Log to recover from.I was back at that spot a few days ago and was relieved and amazed that time and constant flow of water, had already caused the trees to start turning downstream, and a lot of the soil mass had been washed away.Yes,in time Pine Log will recover, and not only recover but be wider and stronger than before! For even in nature, all things do work together for good.Sometimes, all of us, at one time or another, have received wounds and scars that do not seem possible to heal.Of course the allegory is that if the creator provided a way for Pine Logs healing, then surely he has provide a way for us.Pine Log's healing will depend on its flow of water. Our healing depends on our desire to be healed(spiritually)and being in the presence of the giver of life.We have this available to us because of the gift Christ gave us two thousand years ago.Like Pine Log,we can recover and be stronger than before.Wishing you healing from Pine Log.

Good News from Pine Log

Good news from Pine Log:The news being hurtled at me as it bounced off the satellite was harsh, calloused ,and brutal..........woman shot four times ............rogue nations testing nuclear devices.........gas prices up............politicians pushing personal agendas........mayhem and violence filling the earth. I started toward pine log admittedly feeling a little overwhelmed by the awful things I had been hearing. But on pine log..........the water still flowed as it had yesterday, still soothed my soul with its rippling whispers, the sun still kissed the meadow and promised better things to come, the birds still dedicated their song especially to me,the breeze still caressed my face with its platonic touch, the sage bushes still swayed and frolicked...........and I still wept because of the news from Pine Log.For it came neither brutal nor forceful as the earlier news had,but was a sweet and holy descending. The news on pine log told me what I was seeing and experiencing was a reflection of a spiritual order. That all was not hopeless. That there was a plan and a purpose still being carried out in all of the chaos.I do believe that if I am granted another day;Pine Log will still be flowing and his plan and purpose will still be in process. The instruction to David was simple:"be still and know".Good news from me to you from Pine Log!

Another Day on Pine Log Creek

Another day on pine log creek: Today on pine log creek the sun felt good on my shoulders. It entertained me as it danced, sparkled, and shimmered on the water. The creek moved steadily, yet persistent. A few days earlier it had been frantic and rushing. It reminds me that it is never a good idea to panic in stormy times;but to stay focused and stay steady. The breeze was just short of chilly;reminding me of it's unavoidable presence. So is the presence of God to the believer. Undeniable. Tomorrow will be a new day. There will be new troubles, new worries, more bad news in this troubled world we live in. But today was beautiful and refreshing on pine log creek. Seek and you shall find. It works. It really works.

Today on Pine Log

Today on pine log creek: Another glorious day to be enjoyed on my (almost daily)walk to the creek. The deer still scampered, the squirrels still chattered, the mallards still made loud protest over the intrusion. The sun was still shining brightly;yet with a different feel to it today. Why did it feel different to me today? The reason of course was the wind. Today it had a bight to it. Almost confronting. Sometimes the winds of life seem to blow in our favor. Almost pulling us along. But then, inevitably, and sometimes without warning they can change. Its during these times,we have to realize,he is the same whether the winds are blowing in our favor or against us. The winds felt different today on pine log creek;but his presence, love, and assurance felt exactly the same. They never change.

Something Calling on Pine Log

Something calling on pine log: When the long day of labor has ended. When my soul has been vexed with the calamity of the day. When my mind has grown weary from the bombardment of apprehension, doubt, and fear. When i am through with the necessary, yet exhausting, dance of the day. When I feel my strength leaving;only to be replaced with numbness and tiredness of the soul. Just in time I am aware ,through an unseen channel,of being called to that magical place of renewal and restoration that comes from a different place. This call is just as real as a mother's call to supper, and that place just as real as a baby's resting place on the bosom of it's mother. As one moved songwriter so poignantly wrote:"ambition will take you and ride you too far.conservatism(idleness) will bring you to boredom once more. Sit down by the river, watch the stream flow, recall all the dreams you once used to know. Things you've forgotten, took you away, the pasture's not greener, but meaner. Love of the simple is all that I need,I've no time for schisms nor lovers of greed. Go up to the mountain,go up to the glen. Where silence(reverence) will touch you and heartbreak will mend. "Just as the writer,so I,feel something" calling me this way again." Thankful for the calling and the place it takes me to,on pine log. David spoke of the "secret place of the most high God." We are blessed to have found that place.

A New Voice on Pine Log

February 27
A new voice on Pine Log: Each voice on pine log comes with its own unique sound and quality. I hear and enjoy many of them as I venture there as often as time and energy will allow. From sweet singing birds to the crow's raucous cawing. The voice of the beaver as he slams his tail down upon pine log.The sometimes soothing, sometimes haunting, voice of the wind, as it makes its way through the trees.Maybe the staccato rhythm of the woodpecker as he lets everyone know how busy he is.The new voice on pine log this morning made me stop where i stood and hope that it would repeat. This new voice on pine log was neither invasive nor intrusive. The sweet, pure, almost heavenly voice of the turtle dove caused all the other voices to fade away.Almost immediately i thought of King Solomon and his reaction to the same voice that i had just heard. As he stood there on the hillside, the voice that he heard moved him to write his immortal words in the book by his name "for,lo,the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle(dove)is heard in our land." How the weather looked at that moment,or how he felt at that moment, made no difference. For he had heard the signal voice, and that signal voice made him to know that the long winter cycle was coming to an end and he was filled with joy and encouraged.Looking forward to both natural and spiritual spring on pine log.For i have heard the voice of the turtle dove on pine log and the voice of "the Dove" in my heart.

A Lesson in Perpetuity on Pine Log

A Lesson in perpetuity on Pine Log: I Have been a visitor on Pine Log in the cool of the morning as well as the cool of the evening; and found one common thread; Pine Log is indifferent to either one in its continuance of flow. I have been in the darkest of night and the brightest of day; and found it to be the same. I Have been a witness as the sun beamed its flattery and praise down on Pine Log. Steadfast Pine Log merely absorbed what was needed and reflected the rest back to me; its silent but awe struck visitor. I Have been there when Pine Log was assaulted with everything the atmosphere had to offer; and despite the thundering, lightning, and pelting rain; Pine Log just absorbed it and continued its journey toward its destiny. There and only there would it blend into a much bigger entity, and lose its identity to that it was destined for. High times, low times, day, night, sunny, or stormy.Pine Log keeps flowing, for it has been instructed to do so.It is neither moved by flattery, praise,or criticism. It may move faster sometimes or have more volume, but it keeps on moving. What an absolute and marvelous thing! The late great John Denver spoke of his beloved rocky mountains and said this,"I know i'd be a poorer man if i never saw an eagle fly." This poor man thanks you, Pine Log, for the treasure you have shared with me. Looking for steadfastness and perpetuity on Pine Log. "Wherefore be ye steadfast and unmovable."
