A final bow on Pine Log: For about two weeks we have observed a rare, but very pleasing to the eye, growth and maturing of a plot of Virginia Bluebells. The phenomenon of the pink blooms evolving into a beautiful sky blue was intriguing and amazing. Two days ago I ventured there again, and was heartened to see that they were still in full bloom.Today I was back and the scenario was quite different.Thefirst thought that came to mind was "they are taking their final bow."As far as I know, only four people had witnessed the display they had put on,but they shined for us as though it had been four thousand.Their worth or importance is not measured by how many admired or acknowledged them, but in their reflection of the life within them. Now as they clearly are taking their final bow,act one is just beginning for others around them. And so goes, seemingly, the cycle of life here on Earth. The final bow is appointed to every man.End of story? This pondering writer believes not.For just as the final bow is being taken here on Earth, act one,is starting in eternity. For the believer, the final bow, will be before the one who made it possible to leave behind a world of final bows.I hope to see the Bluebells again next year, where once again I will be reminded that the final bow is not the end.How they did shine! Wishing you comfort and peace from Pine Log
