Amazed on Pine Log: The old tree was very large and had long, jagged roots, that dug down deep into the creek bed. Every day when I arrived at the creek it was always there,as if to say "I am here and i'm here to stay." The old creek tolerated the tree, and even though it forced the creek to alter it's route, the determined creek just wound its way around the jagged roots and kept on flowing. Many times the water tried to expel the old tree, but to no avail. The uninvited tree would seem as if it would move, only to settle back down, digging even deeper into the creek bed,and force the creek to take its alternate route. The old creek resigned itself to always having the obstacle in its way. Then, one day,the power of the water gave the creek a wonderful gift. The old tree rose to the top and floated on downstream, never to return and hinder again. Many of us put up with trees, unnecessarily, sometimes all of our lives. Our trees go by many different names:anger, resentment,
unbelief, doubt, fears, regrets(huge one) and so forth.Sometimes ,we hinder the process of expulsion by pushing them back down when they start to rise, allowing them to dig even deeper.May we all learn a lesson from pine log through three simple steps:acknowledge the tree, let it rise to the top,and let the spiritual water of life carry it away.I enjoy my lessons from pine log.It is a teacher that has been around a lot longer than me,and will be around long after I am gone.Amazed and humbled by the power of water on Pine Log.
